| Qualifications to Become a Marine |
To be eligible to become a United States Marine, you must have the following traits within your character:
Justic
Justice
Judgment
Decisiveness
Integrity
Dependability
Tact
Initiative
Enthusiasm
Bearing
Unselfishness
Courage
Knowledge
Loyalty
Endurance
You must also meet these specific physical, mental and moral requirements:
Age:
17-28 Years Old
Education and Testing:
Be a High School Senior on track to graduate, or
Be a High School Graduate with a Diploma, or
Be Home Schooled through a recognized state program, or
Have 22 College Credits that are 100 Level or Higher from a Community College, College or University
Score in the 31 percentile or higher on the ASVAB
Physical:
Be within Marine Corps Height and Weight Standards
Have no ADULT asthma
Not Diabetic
Have had no Amputations
Be currently (and post) drug free
Be free of diseases such as Aids, Cancer, Cataracts, Active STD's and other infections
No Tattoos on the Head, Neck or Hands and No Tattoos of a Gang, Racist or Sexual Nature
Moral Character:
Have little or no involvement in illegal activities
Must not be on probation or parole
